Certification that your management system operates in compliance to external standards for the Automotive Industry

In essence the procedure for certification is the same as that for ISO 9001 (as the QS scheme is based on the prime document ISO 9001). However, there are some key differences regarding the certification process.


QS-9000 CERTIFICATION

The minimum audit day requirements are more onerous due to the additional documentation to be checked. The man day allocations have been sanctioned by the AIAG as well as the EA.


Where an organization has several manufacturing sites, it is not possible to perform a sample audit of sites during the audit. All sites must be audited.
As a result the overall cost of certification is greater in comparison with ISO 9001.
